About Marketing
A City College of San Francisco Marketing degree or certificate prepares students to plan, manage, and measure all aspects of marketing.
In its annual survey of senior executives at leading companies, the Association of National Advertisers identified marketing as the skill most sought after in employees.
If marketing is your chosen field, then an Associate degree in Marketing, which focuses on marketing as a key element of business to support a company's overall growth strategy, is right for you. In contrast to a general management program, all courses in this degree are marketing focused. Companies seek graduates because they are prepared for leadership positions and have the analytic and strategic skills to be both generalists and specialists.
The program’s core curriculum of general marketing courses includes marketing, advertising, management supervision, professional selling, international marketing, and microcomputer marketing applications. The curriculum combines classroom instruction, practical experiences, coordinated part-time employment, and internships.
